Quantum Medical Technology (QMT) is a new venture company that will bring to market a 3D video processing and display system for utilization in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). 

QMT’s system, AM3D Medical Imaging System, will require a low cost single-use camera for each procedure performed, customized near-eye display (NED) for each surgeon and offer optional remote training / consultation systems. The low cost single use cameras will replace the expensive multi-use, 2D view endoscopes currently employed. Competing technologies in the medical instrument industry do not provide the real-time 3D visualization of the AM3D. The endoscopes used in current MIS cannot generate the information required for 3D rendering.  QMT plans to develop and market solutions for the various types of MIS procedures, such as gallbladder, colon resections, hysterectomies and appendectomies. Generating MIS procedure specific products that utilizing our core video processing technology. This supports the prospective expansion of medical procedures that can be converted to MIS.
